Gene chats to Cory Doctorow

Cory Doctorow is a Canadian-British blogger, journalist, and science fiction author who served as co-editor of the blog Boing Boing.

Cory has an old-fashioned link-blog, Pluralistic, where he posts a daily list of links with commentary and analysis. If you’d prefer to get it as a newsletter, you can even subcribe to the Plura-list. Both are free from surveillance and advertising.

Cory is the author of many books, most recently RADICALIZED and WALKAWAY, science fiction for adults, IN REAL LIFE, a graphic novel; INFORMATION DOESN’T WANT TO BE FREE, a book about earning a living in the Internet age, and HOMELAND, a YA sequel to LITTLE BROTHER. His next book is POESY THE MONSTER SLAYER, a picture book for young readers.

He is an activist in favour of liberalising copyright laws and a proponent of the Creative Commons organisation, using some of their licences for his books. Catch him talking to Gene here.
